2-Day advanced class on “THE FUNDAMENTALS OF COLD FORGING”

· 2 Day Course

· Ideal for Engineers, Tool Designers, Production supervisors, Master Operators, Machine Setters, Distributors, Sales and any other personnel

· Following topics are discussed in this training course:

o Introduction to metal forming, cold forming and warm forging process

o Basics of metal deformation

o Material properties and behavior

o Machines for cold forging

o Basics of forging sequence design

o Basic forming processes

o Sequence design rules and preform shapes

o Forming sequence layout

o Load and design calculations

o Tool design

o Introduction to FEA and Progression Design Software

· COST This course can be held at the MFSI office or On-Site.

o For classes held at the Canton, MI office, the charges are $600 per person

o For On-Site Classes, the charges are $400 per person

§ Minimum 8 attendees

§ Plus any travel related expenses

1-Day onsite class for OPERATORS and PERSONNEL - “BASICS OF COLD FORGING”

· 1 Day Class

· Ideal for operators, sales and other personnel interested in the basics of cold forging.

· Following topics are discussed in this training course:

o Material properties and behavior

o Machines for cold forging

o Basics of forging sequence design

o Basic forming processes

o Preform shapes and designs

o Tool design
